Global Village Season 31 Could Be the Launchpad Your Food Brand Needs

Global Village Season 31 is opening the door to food and beverage businesses looking to introduce their concepts to a large, international audience in Dubai.

The multicultural family destination has opened registrations for its upcoming season, inviting culinary entrepreneurs, independent brands and established operators to apply. For smaller businesses, it could offer an opportunity to test a concept in a busy seasonal setting, while established names can use the platform to reach new customers.

Two F&B categories are open

Applications are split into two categories, with different registration periods. Restaurants and coffee shops can register between August 7 and August 18. This option is suited to businesses looking to operate a more permanent food or beverage concept within the destination.

For smaller concepts, the Kiosks and Food Trolleys category opens on August 13 and accepts applications until August 26. This format could work particularly well for businesses built around quick-service dishes, drinks and grab-and-go offerings.

Both categories are open to first-time applicants as well as experienced operators.

More than just a space to trade

For businesses accepted into the programme, Global Village offers support that goes beyond providing a location.

The package includes customisable setups, assistance with staff visas, customs procedures for imported goods, storage facilities and electronic payment terminals. Operational guidance is also available throughout the season.

That support could make the experience more manageable for smaller businesses or operators without extensive experience running a large seasonal outlet.

A proven platform for food brands

Food has become a major part of the Global Village experience, with Season 30 featuring more than 250 dining outlets representing flavours from more than 90 cultures.

The destination has also developed a reputation for giving smaller food businesses a platform to reach a broad customer base and build recognition.

Global Village itself has welcomed more than 100 million guests since opening in 1997. Season 30 featured more than 3,500 shopping outlets, over 450 performers across 40,500 shows, and more than 200 rides and games at Carnaval.

When does Season 31 start?

Season 31 is expected to build on the scale of previous editions, bringing another mix of entertainment, shopping and international food to Dubai. The exact opening dates for the new season are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

For F&B businesses considering an application, the immediate deadlines are August 18 for restaurants and coffee shops and August 26 for kiosks and food trolleys.

Interested businesses can submit their proposals through the Global Village business portal.
