Dubai AI smart bus station has officially launched at Mall of the Emirates, introducing a more connected and tech-driven way for residents and visitors to move around the city.
Unveiled by Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority, the new station combines artificial intelligence, digital services, and sustainability features to make commuting smoother and more convenient. The hub connects passengers to buses, the Dubai Metro, and taxis, all from one location.
Real-time updates for commuters
Unlike a traditional bus stop, the station uses AI-powered cameras to monitor crowd movement and occupancy levels in real time. Digital screens inside the station also show how crowded incoming buses are before they arrive, helping commuters make quicker decisions during busy hours.

Passengers can also check live Metro timings, taxi availability, and nearby destinations through large interactive displays placed across the station.
A fully digital experience
One of the biggest changes is the station’s fully digital setup. Visitors can use interactive kiosks for route planning, NOL card top-ups and ticket purchases, while a virtual assistant helps answer customer questions and Lost and Found queries.
The station also includes smart vending machines for drinks and snacks, adding to the convenience for passengers waiting for transport connections.
Built with sustainability in mind
The project also focuses heavily on sustainability. Solar panels help power the station, while smart air-quality sensors continuously monitor conditions inside the facility.

Although the station covers just 147 square metres, it connects commuters to 11 bus routes across Dubai, including areas such as Jumeirah Village Circle, Dubai Science Park, Arabian Ranches and Al Barsha.
A glimpse into Dubai’s future transport plans
Dubai has continued investing heavily in public transport infrastructure over the past few years, and the new station offers a glimpse into how technology could shape everyday travel in the city.
With real-time updates, connected services, and less waiting around, the experience is designed to make public transport feel faster, easier, and more efficient for daily commuters.
