Chicago Musical Dubai Returns to Coca-Cola Arena This December

Chicago musical Dubai is making a highly anticipated return to the city later this year, bringing one of Broadway’s most celebrated productions back to UAE audiences. The award-winning musical will take over Coca-Cola Arena from December 16 to 20, 2026, with eight performances scheduled across five days.

The production marks a significant milestone for the venue, becoming the first full Broadway production to be staged at Coca-Cola Arena. Known for its iconic songs, striking choreography, and captivating storyline, Chicago has remained a favourite among theatre lovers for decades.

Tickets are already on sale, with early bird prices starting from Dhs49 for bronze seating. Silver tickets are available from Dhs99, while gold tickets are priced at Dhs199. Diamond and platinum floor tickets cost Dhs399, and front-row VIP seats are available for Dhs599. The show is strictly for audiences aged 15 and above.

A Broadway Classic That Continues to Captivate

Set in the glamorous yet scandal-filled world of 1920s Chicago, the musical follows Roxie Hart, a nightclub dancer who finds herself on trial for murder. In an effort to avoid conviction, she turns to a charismatic lawyer who helps transform her crime into a media sensation.

Alongside Roxie is her rival, Velma Kelly, creating a story packed with ambition, fame, rivalry, and dark humour. The production is renowned for combining sharp storytelling with unforgettable musical numbers.

Audience favourites include All That Jazz, Cell Block Tango, and Razzle Dazzle, songs that have helped make Chicago one of the most recognisable musicals in theatre history.

Returning to the UAE After Previous Success

Chicago is no stranger to UAE audiences. The musical previously enjoyed successful runs at Dubai Opera in 2022 and at Abu Dhabi’s Etihad Arena in 2024, where additional performances were added due to strong demand.

The production has won multiple Tony Awards and holds the distinction of being the longest-running American musical in both Broadway and West End history. Its enduring popularity continues to attract audiences around the world. For theatre fans looking ahead to the festive season, Chicago’s December run promises an opportunity to experience a Broadway classic live on stage. With tickets already on sale and prices starting from Dhs49, it is likely to be one of Dubai’s most anticipated entertainment events of the year.
