Hikiniku To Come is making its way to Dubai this September, bringing one of Tokyo’s most celebrated Wagyu Hamburg dining experiences to the GCC for the very first time.
Dubai has earned a reputation for welcoming some of the world’s most exciting restaurant concepts, and the latest addition is set to be a major draw for food lovers. Hikiniku To Come, the Tokyo-born wagyu hamburg specialist with a devoted following across Asia, will open at CMPLX in Al Quoz in September 2026. The opening is being brought to the region by FYTE Hospitality, the team behind popular Dubai favourites including Kokoro Handroll Bar and Window.
A Tokyo favourite with a simple philosophy
Unlike traditional steakhouses with extensive menus, Hikiniku To Come is built around one signature dish. The restaurant follows its “Three Just” philosophy: Just ground, just grilled, just cooked, placing the spotlight entirely on the quality of the Wagyu beef and the precision of its preparation.

The concept has become hugely popular in Japan, where diners are known to queue early in the morning to secure a same-day ticket. Its arrival in Dubai marks the brand’s first location in the GCC.
What can diners expect?
The experience centres around a single set menu featuring three freshly charcoal-grilled wagyu hamburg patties, served one at a time. Rather than bringing the full meal to the table at once, each patty is served separately to ensure it’s enjoyed at its best.
For the Dubai opening, the restaurant will use 100 per cent Halal-certified wagyu beef, prepared to the same standards as its Japanese locations. Guests will also receive unlimited servings of fluffy Japanese rice cooked in traditional Hagama pots, while staff guide diners through different sauces and toppings designed to complement each of the three patties.
The restaurant itself has been designed as an intimate open-counter space, with every seat facing a central grill where guests can watch their meal being prepared from start to finish.
Opening at CMPLX in Al Quoz
Hikiniku To Come will open at CMPLX, 53 6th Street, Al Quoz, a new creative destination that is quickly becoming home to some of Dubai’s most exciting food and lifestyle concepts.
The restaurant was originally expected to open earlier but has been slightly delayed to allow for operational adjustments and the installation of custom-built equipment that closely replicates the original Tokyo experience.
With its reputation across Asia and the anticipation already building locally, Hikiniku To Come is expected to become one of Dubai’s most in-demand restaurant reservations. If the queues seen in Japan are anything to go by, securing a table could quickly become part of the experience itself.
