The summer travel surge is expected to drive airfares from the UAE higher in July, with ticket prices to several popular Arab destinations forecast to increase by 25% to 35% compared to June.
Following the Eid Al Adha holiday period, airfares have returned to more affordable levels, making June one of the best times to book before the summer rush begins. As schools close and holiday travel picks up, demand is expected to push prices higher across the region.
Popular Routes See Price Hikes
Recent airfare data shows Cairo is expected to see the largest increase, with average economy fares rising by around 35% to AED 2,400, up from AED 1,777 in June.

Beirut is expected to record a 30% increase, while fares to Amman and Damascus are projected to rise by around 25%.
Average economy fares for direct flights in July are currently estimated at:
- Cairo: AED 2,400
- Amman: AED 2,500
- Damascus: AED 2,600
- Beirut: AED 2,600
These figures reflect the lowest available fares at the time of monitoring and may change depending on demand and seat availability.
Why Booking Early Matters
Travel experts say the lower fares currently available in June are temporary, with demand expected to rise sharply throughout July and August.
Many flights are already seeing strong bookings, reducing the availability of lower-priced seats. As flights fill up, airlines typically increase fares closer to departure dates.
Travellers should also review baggage allowances, refund policies and change fees before booking, as cheaper tickets often come with stricter conditions. Being flexible with travel dates can help secure better deals, but booking early remains the best way to access lower fares and more flight options during the busy summer season.
