Made in Dubai Fashion Sprint is giving aspiring fashion entrepreneurs in the UAE a new platform to turn creative ideas into commercially successful brands. Launched by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority in partnership with the Dubai Institute of Design and Innovation (DIDI), the new incubation programme is designed to help emerging designers build fashion labels ready for the retail market.
The initiative is part of the Dubai Design Sector Strategy 2033, which aims to strengthen the city’s position as a global destination for design, creativity and innovation. Beyond developing individual brands, the programme also supports Dubai’s growing fashion ecosystem by connecting designers with local manufacturers and industry experts.
Applications are now open
Fashion designers can submit their applications between 3 August and 28 August 2026.
The programme is open to Emirati nationals and UAE-based resident fashion designers who have a clear vision for growing an existing brand, developing a new label or preparing an early-stage collection for commercial launch.

Only 15 designers will be selected, making it a highly focused programme that offers participants personalised guidance throughout the journey.
Applications will be evaluated based on craftsmanship, production readiness, commitment to business development and the long-term potential of each fashion brand.
Eight weekends of practical learning
The Made in Dubai Fashion Sprint will run over eight consecutive weekends from 19 September to 8 November 2026.
Rather than focusing only on design, the programme is structured to help participants understand the business side of fashion. Designers will take part in practical masterclasses covering topics such as collection development, production planning, brand positioning and preparing for retail.
Participants will also receive one-on-one mentorship from experienced fashion professionals, offering valuable insights into building a sustainable business in today’s competitive industry.
Connecting designers with Dubai’s fashion ecosystem
One of the programme’s standout features is its emphasis on local production.
Participants will have opportunities to collaborate with Dubai-based ateliers and manufacturers, helping them understand the production process while strengthening the emirate’s growing fashion supply chain. This practical approach encourages designers to develop collections that are not only creative but also commercially achievable.
A final showcase for industry buyers
The programme concludes with a final showcase where participants will present their completed collections and business concepts to retail buyers and fashion industry professionals.
For emerging designers, it offers a valuable opportunity to gain exposure, receive expert feedback and explore potential commercial partnerships.
Designers interested in applying can review the eligibility requirements and submit their applications through Dubai Culture’s official event portal before the 28 August 2026 deadline.
