Emirates Next-Generation Lounge: New Premium Airport Lounge Concept Unveiled

The Emirates Next-Generation Lounge has officially been unveiled, introducing a new premium airport lounge concept that will be rolled out across key destinations worldwide. The redesigned lounges have already opened in Munich and Frankfurt, while Manchester, Mauritius and Istanbul are next in line. Emirates will invest more than AED 50 million in each new lounge as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the airport experience for premium travellers.

Inspired by the airline’s latest cabin interiors, the new lounge concept combines luxury, technology and locally inspired hospitality in a modern setting.

What can travellers expect?

The redesigned lounges feature dedicated areas for working, dining, relaxing and socialising. More than 50 design updates have been introduced, including contemporary interiors with marble and gold accents, wireless charging, universal power outlets and quieter spaces for business travellers.

The dining experience has also been refreshed with live cooking stations, international buffet selections and regional specialities. Freshly baked pizzas, flatbreads and manakeesh will be prepared on site, while baristas and mixologists will serve speciality coffees and locally inspired beverages.

Guests can also enjoy upgraded shower suites, Quiet Zones with sleep amenities, dedicated prayer rooms, private meeting spaces and breastfeeding rooms, creating a more comfortable experience before boarding.

Where is the new concept launching?

The new design has already opened in Munich and Frankfurt. Emirates plans to open its next-generation lounges in Manchester in July, Mauritius in August and Istanbul in October, with the latest concept expected to serve as the blueprint for future Emirates lounges worldwide.

The airline currently operates 42 dedicated lounges, including eight at Dubai International Airport Terminal 3. Complimentary access is available for First Class and Business Class passengers, as well as eligible Emirates Skywards Platinum and Gold members, while paid access is also offered.

With this latest investment, Emirates continues to expand its premium ground experience by offering travellers more comfortable, functional, and hospitality-focused airport lounges across its global network.
