Dubai Mallathon is giving residents a few more weeks to stay active indoors before the three-month fitness initiative ends on Tuesday, September 15, 2026.
The summer-long programme has turned some of Dubai’s biggest malls into air-conditioned walking and running routes, offering an easy way to keep moving during the hotter months. With daily sessions running until mid-September, there is still time to lace up, pick a distance and join a morning workout without paying an entry fee or signing up in advance.
When Does Dubai Mallathon End?
Dubai Mallathon will conclude on September 15, bringing the current edition of the initiative to a close.

The programme has been running since June, with morning sessions designed to make outdoor-style fitness more comfortable during Dubai’s summer heat. The indoor setting also allows participants to maintain their routine without dealing with high temperatures and humidity.
How Does Dubai Mallathon Work?
The daily sessions take place between 6 am and 10 am, giving early risers plenty of time to fit in some movement in the morning.
No registration is required for the daily sessions, and participation is free. You can simply arrive at one of the participating locations and choose how you want to move.
Three distances are available:
- 2.5km for a shorter session
- 5km for a moderate workout
- 10km for a longer run or walk
Those who would rather take things slowly can also power walk at their own pace.
Where Can You Join?
The Mallathon uses several indoor locations across Dubai, allowing you to choose a route that best fits your morning plans.
Participating venues include Dubai Mall, Dubai Hills Mall, Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif and DIFC Gate Avenue.
City Centre Mirdif also features a ladies-only 500m track, providing an additional option for women looking to take part in the initiative.
A Summer Workout Without the Heat
One of the biggest advantages of Dubai Mallathon is its indoor setting. The air-conditioned routes provide a more comfortable environment for walking, running and other forms of physical activity during the summer.
The flexible format also makes it easy to fit into different fitness routines. You can choose a shorter 2.5km walk before starting your day or challenge yourself to a longer 10km session.
With the initiative ending on September 15, there are only a few weeks left to make the most of Dubai Mallathon. For anyone looking for a free morning workout before the summer season winds down, it is a simple way to get some steps in while staying cool.
