Dubai FIFA World Cup fanzone plans are officially underway, with McGettigan’s set to host large-scale screenings across Dubai and Abu Dhabi throughout this summer’s tournament.
The popular sports bar brand will launch its FIFA Fan Zone at Bla Bla by McGettigan’s, giving football fans a dedicated space to watch every match of the competition.

All 104 matches of the tournament are expected to be shown live across the venues, with organisers preparing for a packed schedule running from June 11 to July 19.
As this year’s World Cup is being hosted in the United States, Canada and Mexico, many games will take place late at night or early in the morning Gulf Standard Time. The fanzone will therefore cater to different match timings with breakfast offerings for early kick-offs and late-night food options for evening fixtures.
Group-stage tickets are now on sale from Dhs60, with the full amount redeemable on food and beverages during the event.
McGettigan’s will also act as the UAE home of the official England Supporters Club during the tournament, with a dedicated area planned for England fans throughout the Three Lions’ campaign.
Visitors can expect giant screens, live entertainment and fan activations during key matches, alongside a lively atmosphere designed around the World Cup experience.
The venue previously hosted major football screenings during the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, when Argentina lifted the trophy after a dramatic final against France.
This year’s tournament will begin on Thursday, June 11, with Mexico taking on South Africa at 11 pm GST.
Defending champions Argentina are scheduled to begin their campaign against Algeria on Wednesday, June 17.
England will open their tournament against Croatia at midnight on June 18, while Scotland is set to return to the World Cup stage against Greece on Sunday, June 14, at 5 am GST.
The FIFA World Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, July 19, at 11 pm GST.
