Dubai’s popular cultural space, Alserkal Avenue, is expanding its usual Art Week to a full-fledged Art Month. Art Month began on Saturday, 18th April and will run till Monday, 18 May 2026.
The month-long programme is expected to bring more workshops, performances, music, public art commissions and artist takeovers.
In a social media post, Alserkal Avenue announced it has planned five weekends to invite partners and friends, while highlighting the UAE’s artistic community.
Art Month at Alserkal Avenue
Art Month features 18 exhibitions across the galleries at Alserkal Avenue, including group exhibitions such as ‘All the Lands from Sunrise to Sunset’.
The first weekend also included a series of guided tours, slow art walks, and a performance by ADIGA Music Band, bringing traditional Sudanese sounds to the avenue.

Yesterday, Alserkal Avenue also announced that five artists and practitioners whose work is rooted in poetry have been invited to Art Month. Each Sunday, a new poem will be shared, beginning with artist Sarah Al Mehairi’s ‘a measured walk’.
What the Upcoming Weekend Includes
Déjà Vu, a multi-gallery exhibition conceptualised by Alserkal Avenue, will open in Concrete on Saturday, 25th April. The 14-day selling exhibition features over 50 artists represented by 20 leading contemporary art galleries in the UAE.
The show is inspired by artist Raed Yassin’s neon work, Déjà Vu (2016), and is focused on themes such as the absurdity of repeated cycles, historical mismatches, memory glitches, and language slippage.

There will also be Majlis talks, workshops, including a kids’ art workshop, performances, art walks and a film screening of ‘Ghanati Man’, followed by a talk with the director.
