MEFCC 2026 Is Bringing a Weekend of Pop Culture to Abu Dhabi

MEFCC 2026 is set to bring one of the region’s biggest pop-culture weekends back to Abu Dhabi from September 11 to 13, 2026. The 14th edition of Middle East Film and Comic Con will take over ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi, filling Halls 8 to 11 and the ICC Hall with celebrities, gaming, comics, anime, cosplay and live entertainment.

Whether you are heading there to meet a favourite actor, browse original artwork or simply soak up the atmosphere, there is plenty to explore across the three-day festival.

When and where is MEFCC 2026?

The festival will take place at ADNEC Centre Abu Dhabi across three days.

  • Friday, September 11: 3 pm to 11 pm
  • Saturday, September 12: 12 pm to 11 pm
  • Sunday, September 13: 12 pm to 11 pm

Single-day tickets start from AED 160. Children aged six and under can enter for free. Tickets are available through Platinumlist, while additional experiences such as celebrity photos and autographs may require separate vouchers.

Meet some of the biggest stars

One of the main attractions is the Meet the Stars area, where fans can get closer to some of the biggest names from film, television and entertainment.

John Cena, the WWE icon and Hollywood actor, is scheduled to appear on September 12 and 13. Pom Klementieff, best known for playing Mantis in Guardians of the Galaxy, will attend on September 11 and 12. Fans of One Piece can also look forward to Mackenyu, who plays Roronoa Zoro in Netflix’s live-action adaptation.

Comic fans will have their own reason to visit, with artists including Mike Choi, Jim Cheung, Frederico Vicentini and Brett Beeding joining the event.

Explore gaming, anime and comics

There is plenty beyond the celebrity appearances. The Gaming Arena and TCG Arena will bring together gaming activities, showcases and trading card tournaments.

Anime and manga fans can head to the Otaku District, a dedicated space celebrating Japanese pop culture. Meanwhile, Artist Alley and the Comic Creators Club offer opportunities to discover original artwork and meet creators.

Cosplay and live entertainment

For something more energetic, head outdoors to the Festival Plaza. The area will feature live entertainment, food and beverage trucks and the annual Cosplay Competition, making it a natural meeting point during the festival.

With three days of fandom, costumes, games, art and celebrity appearances, MEFCC 2026 is shaping up to be a lively weekend for pop-culture fans of all ages.
