For those planning a road trip or hiring a car on their next holiday, there’s a new perk for Nol Travel cardholders that could make the rental a little cheaper.
From Tuesday, 1 September, eligible cardholders can get up to 40 per cent off car rentals with Europcar in the UAE and at selected destinations worldwide.
The offer comes through a partnership between Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Europcar and will run for one year. It gives Dubai residents and visitors another benefit to use when travelling, whether they’re renting a car at home or picking one up overseas.
What to Know About the Nol Travel Card
Priced at AED 100, the Nol Travel card works as a regular Nol card for getting around Dubai but comes with additional perks. Cardholders can access offers and discounts from more than 100 brands and businesses across the city, making it more than just a way to pay for public transport.
The new Europcar deal adds a travel-focused benefit. Users can now save on car hire across the UAE and Europcar’s international network.

The Europcar partnership isn’t the only update in store for Dubai’s Nol system either. The RTA is preparing to move away from its current card-based ticketing system towards account-based digital payments, with the change expected in the first few months of next year.
The upgraded system will give residents and visitors more ways to pay for public transport, including QR tickets, digital wallets, bank cards and updated nol cards.
Users Can Win Up to AED 40,000
There’s another reason to keep an eye on the Nol card this month. A new promotion is giving shoppers the chance to win prizes worth up to AED 40,000.
To enter, simply purchase a Nol Travel Card from participating Zoom stores between Thursday, 3 September and Saturday, 17 October 2026.
Buying the card automatically puts a customer into the prize draw. Despite the timing, a user doesn’t have to be a student to take part. The promotion is open to anyone who purchases an eligible card at a participating store.
As a whole, the Nol system has expanded well beyond paying for journeys around Dubai. Nol cards can now also be used for purchases at participating shops and businesses across the city, including places that sell food, groceries, and medicines. However, purchases are subject to an AED 200 limit.
