Running throughout the holiday period, the celebrations are designed to bring together families, children, and visitors with a mix of traditional Emirati performances, mascot appearances, interactive gaming zones, and giveaways.

Al Freej characters and Emirati performances at Dubai Festival City Mall

One of the main highlights at Dubai Festival City Mall will be appearances by characters from Al Freej, the popular Emirati animated series known for its local storytelling and iconic personalities. The mascots will roam the mall on the first day of Eid from 4 pm to 10 pm, offering visitors photo opportunities and opportunities for family interaction.

The mall will also host traditional Emirati performances on the first and second days of Eid at Festival Square on the ground floor between 5:30 pm and 9 pm. The performances aim to showcase local culture and heritage as part of the holiday celebrations.

Meanwhile, Dubai mascots Modesh and Dana are also scheduled to appear at the mall from May 27 to 29, adding more entertainment for younger visitors during the Eid break.

Mascot parades and gaming experiences

From May 29 to 31, Dubai Festival City Mall will organise evening mascot parades across different levels of the mall. The parades will feature characters from participating retailers and attractions, alongside music and roaming entertainment designed for families and children.

Gaming fans can also explore the “Game Over” installation at Festival Square from May 22 to 31. The activation will include games and interactive challenges running daily from 10 am to 10 pm.

Another major attraction during the Eid period will be the Red Bull Gaming Grounds x Dubai Esports Festival pop-up near Dave’s Hot Chicken. The experience will feature EA FC gaming stations, sim racing, football-inspired activities, couch gaming, Red Bull sampling, and prize giveaways from May 27 to 31 during mall operating hours.

Eid shopping rewards during the holidays

Visitors shopping, dining, or spending on entertainment at Dubai Festival City Mall during Eid can also earn 20 times BLUE points through the mall’s rewards programme.

Customers can participate by scanning their receipts on the BLUE app after shopping or dining at the mall. According to the organisers, reward points will be credited within 48 hours.

Festival Plaza to host Ayala performances and Eid giveaways

Festival Plaza will also mark Eid Al Adha with cultural entertainment and festive giveaways throughout the holiday period.

Traditional Ayala performances will take place on the third day of Eid between 5:30 pm and 8:30 pm near Drinkit on the ground floor, bringing live music and traditional dance performances to visitors.
