Emirates is launching a new daily route between Dubai and Finland this October. The airline is soon to begin flights between Dubai International Airport and Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.
The service will give travellers the only year-round direct connection between the UAE and Finland. The new service will begin on Thursday 1 October 2026.
For UAE travellers planning a winter break, the route opens up easier access to Finland’s snow season and Northern Lights experiences. The country’s cooler climate offers quite the contrast to Dubai, particularly for travellers looking for a winter getaway.
Emirates Dubai to Helsinki Flight Times
The route was first announced in January and will operate using Emirates’ latest Airbus A350 aircraft, including its Premium Economy cabin.
Emirates flight EK167 departs from Dubai daily at 8.45 am and arrives in Helsinki at 2.55 pm local time. The return flight, EK168, will leave Helsinki at 4.45 pm and arrive in Dubai at 12.20 am the next day. All flight times are local.

Flight schedules have also been planned with onward connections in mind. Travellers flying through Dubai will have convenient connections to and from destinations across Asia. These include Bangkok, Phuket, Bali, Kuala Lumpur, Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, Taipei, Seoul, Tokyo and Singapore.
The route also provides connections to destinations across Africa. These include Cairo, Cape Town and Johannesburg, as well as GCC cities such as Dammam, Riyadh, Muscat and Kuwait City.
Finland has been ranked the world’s happiest country by the UN for eight consecutive years, making it an appealing destination for anyone looking for a change of scenery. It’s also home to some of the Nordic region’s most recognisable experiences, including traditional saunas and the Moomins.
