HH Sheikh Hamdan Launches Dubai-it Award to Recognise Outstanding Projects, Companies and Individuals

Dubai-it Award has been launched by HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum to recognise projects, institutions, companies and individuals that reflect Dubai’s culture of innovation, achievement and rapid execution.

The new annual award celebrates initiatives that deliver meaningful results and encourage future generations to continue driving progress across sectors.

Announcing the initiative, HH Sheikh Hamdan said the award is inspired by the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum and Dubai’s remarkable development journey. He described “Dubai-it” as a philosophy of action that promotes innovation, excellence and continuous progress.

The award will honour those who turn ambitious ideas into measurable impact while contributing to Dubai’s ongoing growth and success.

Award Categories Cover Projects, Institutions and Individuals

The Dubai-it Award includes several categories across projects, institutions and individuals, recognising achievements in both the public and private sectors.

Within the Projects category, awards will be presented to a government project that delivered exceptional results in record time, a technology-driven project that transformed an innovative idea into lasting impact, a real estate project that created significant urban, economic or social value, and an educational project that successfully embedded the Dubai-it philosophy of achievement, accountability and execution.

The Institutions category recognises a government entity that has made speed, performance and measurable results part of its organisational culture. It also honours a company that has achieved exceptional transformation through improvements in its operations, performance or market impact.

Recognising Leadership and Innovation

The award also highlights the role of individuals in driving success.

Under the Individuals category, recognition will be given to a government project manager who successfully turned a vision into measurable results through strong planning, effective execution and timely delivery. Another award will honour an entrepreneur who transformed a promising idea into a successful venture with a meaningful impact in a short period of time.

By recognising excellence across multiple sectors, the Dubai-it Award aims to celebrate achievements that support Dubai’s long-term vision while encouraging innovation, accountability and high-quality execution. The annual initiative also reinforces the city’s commitment to recognising people and organisations that create lasting value and contribute to its continued development.
