Dubai Announces Three New Projects: AI-Designed Park, Creek Lighting and Falcon Market

Dubai announces three new projects that will bring together heritage, technology, and public-space improvements across the emirate. On June 25, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, shared details of the new initiatives to be delivered by Dubai Municipality.

The package includes a Falcon Market, an 8km lighting project along Dubai Creek and the world’s first AI-designed park. Together, the projects reflect Dubai’s ongoing focus on improving the quality of life while creating new destinations for residents and visitors.

In his announcement, HH Sheikh Hamdan said Dubai continues to invest in ideas that combine heritage, technology and quality of life, underlining the city’s long-term vision for development.

Heritage and Waterfront Projects

One of the most distinctive projects is the Dubai Falcon Market, which is expected to be the first of its kind in the region. The market will celebrate falconry, an important part of Emirati culture, while giving the tradition a dedicated modern space.

Falcons have long been closely linked to the UAE’s identity and heritage. By creating a market focused on this cultural symbol, Dubai is aiming to preserve tradition while presenting it in a way that can be experienced by both residents and tourists.

Another project will focus on Dubai Creek, one of the city’s most historic landmarks. Plans call for 8km of lighting along the creek, which will create a new nighttime experience and highlight the area’s role in Dubai’s early development.

AI-Designed Park Signals a New Direction

The third project looks firmly to the future. Dubai will develop what is being described as the world’s first AI-designed park, using artificial intelligence, data and community participation in the planning process.

While full details have not yet been released, the project shows how Dubai is continuing to explore new ways of using technology in urban design and public spaces. It also builds on the emirate’s wider push to adopt AI across different sectors.

Earlier this year, Sheikh Hamdan launched an initiative encouraging the private sector to become more AI-driven through agentic systems that can perform tasks and manage operations with minimal human intervention.

Taken together, the three projects show Dubai’s approach to growth: preserving heritage, improving public spaces, and embracing innovation. As the plans move forward, the Falcon Market, Creek lighting project and AI-designed park are expected to become important additions to the city’s landscape.
