No Dubai Private School Fee Increase Next Year

Dubai’s Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) has confirmed that private schools in the emirate will not be permitted to increase tuition fees for the 2026–2027 academic year.

The announcement follows the release of Dubai’s Education Cost Index (ECI), which remains at 0 per cent for the upcoming school year.

Under KHDA regulations, the ECI determines whether private schools are eligible to apply for tuition fee increases. With the index remaining at 0 per cent, schools will not be able to raise fees through the standard annual review process used across Dubai’s private education sector.

The decision comes ahead of the new academic year, when many families across the emirate are planning enrolments, re-enrolments, and school budgets for the year ahead.

Dubai’s private schools include British, American, Indian, IB and other international curricula taught across the emirate.

KHDA reviews the Education Cost Index annually as part of Dubai’s wider framework for regulating private school tuition fees.
