Dubai Police has issued a warning ahead of Eid Al Adha celebrations, reminding residents of the risks associated with using and trading fireworks during the holiday period.
In a statement published on May 24, Dubai Police called on community members to follow safety regulations and avoid dealing with fireworks or unofficial fireworks sellers during Eid celebrations.
Authorities also warned that fireworks can cause serious injuries and accidents, particularly during busy gatherings and celebrations across residential areas and public spaces.
Dubai Police further reminded residents that Federal Decree Law No. 17 of 2019 includes strict penalties related to the unlicensed trade, import and manufacture of fireworks in the UAE.
The reminder comes ahead of Eid Al Adha celebrations across the country, when public safety campaigns are typically increased during the holiday period.
