A run in sub-zero temperatures is not something often associated with Dubai, but that is exactly what the DXB Snow Run offers. Returning for its seventh edition on 17 May 2026, the event takes place inside Ski Dubai, where the temperature stays at -4°C throughout the race.
Organised in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, the run is open to participants aged 13 to 70. It also aligns with the UAE’s Year of Family, emphasising community, inclusion and shared experiences.
What to expect from the run
The race is designed to be straightforward and accessible. Participants can choose between a 3km or 5km distance, completed in loops across the indoor slope. The 3km route consists of three loops, while the 5km route includes five loops.

Both individual and team entries are available. Teams of five compete together, adding a social and slightly more competitive element to the event. The format makes it suitable for a wide range of participants, from casual runners to more regular ones looking for a different kind of challenge.
Registration and entry details
Entry fees are set at AED 120 for the 3km individual race and AED 150 for the 5km category. Team participation costs AED 110 per person. Registrations close on 14 May, with regular rates already in effect.
Spectator experience
The event is open to all participants. A dedicated viewing area allows friends and family to be part of the experience from within the snowy setting. Spectator passes are available on the day for AED 50 and include a complimentary hot beverage.
Why this event stands out
Among the many fitness events in Dubai, this one offers a clear contrast. Setting alone makes it memorable. Running through snow in a city known for its heat creates an experience that feels both unusual and engaging.
The event’s structure also makes it approachable. The distances are manageable, and the atmosphere is built around participation rather than performance.
A different way to experience fitness in Dubai
DXB Snow Run combines sport with the environment in a way that feels distinct. It reflects the city’s ability to create experiences that go beyond expectations, appealing to both participants and spectators.
Whether taken on as a personal challenge or approached as a group activity, the event stands out as one of the more unique additions to Dubai’s fitness calendar.
