Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (Dubai RTA) has completed a project that will improve road connections and elevate quality of travel in 18 residential areas of the city. The main expected benefit is the reduction in commute time by up to 40 percent in these areas.

The RTA has emphasised that it aims to meet the needs of the population, along with the objectives of urban expansion and growth in Dubai, resulting in the development of roads and infrastructure.
What Does the RTA’s Project Include?
The project spans a total length of 13 kilometres, encompassing traffic improvement and provisithe on of side parking spaces in the areas.
Another objective is to enhance the emirate’s civilised appearance, along with residents’ happiness and wellbeing.
The aim is to achieve traffic safety to make Dubai’s streets efficient and of the highest quality for users.
Earlier today, the RTA also announced the completion of a new development project at the Al Qudra Street intersection. This includes a new 600 metre bridge connecting Al Arabi Square and Dubai Studio City.
This new project is expected to improve traffic flow, cut down on travel time, and increase travel safety for thousands of residents and visitors.

Additionally, the authority stated that the Northern Bridge at the Sheikh Zayed bin Hamdan Al Nahyan Street intersection has been opened, improving connectivity between the east and west of the city.
