The Grand Nad Al Sheba Is Opening This August With Waitrose, Homegrown Dining Spots and More

The Grand Nad Al Sheba is set to welcome its first visitors on Wednesday, 19 August 2026, introducing a new neighbourhood destination designed for everyday living. Located within Nad Al Sheba Gardens, the two-storey retail and lifestyle hub brings together shopping, dining, wellness and essential services in one thoughtfully designed space, just around 10 minutes from Downtown Dubai.

Developed by Shamal, The Grand has been fully leased ahead of its opening and will launch in three phases over the coming months, with more brands arriving through early 2027.

A neighbourhood hub designed for everyday life

Unlike a traditional shopping mall, The Grand has been created as a community-focused destination where people can run errands, meet friends over coffee, enjoy a meal or access everyday services in one convenient location.

The development features nature-inspired architecture, landscaped green spaces and a light steel roof that fills the interiors with natural daylight, creating a bright and welcoming environment for visitors.

Situated within the 1.5 million-square-metre Nad Al Sheba Gardens community, the destination is also connected by nearby walking paths and cycling tracks, making it easy for residents to reach on foot or by bike.

What is opening first?

The first phase launches on 19 August and focuses on everyday essentials. It will be anchored by the first Waitrose & Partners supermarket in Nad Al Sheba, giving residents access to the popular British grocery retailer closer to home.

Joining Waitrose on opening day are MMI, Al Jaber Optical, Maple Bear Nursery, Heart Cottage Lane, and Fixperts, offering a mix of retail, childcare and everyday services.

More cafés and restaurants arrive in September

The second phase, scheduled for early September, expands The Grand’s food and lifestyle offering with a collection of well-known local brands.

Visitors can look forward to Tasha’s, Somewhere, Home Bakery, Blu Pizzeria, Daima, Staywell Pharmacy, and Tips & Toes. A shared boutique space will also bring together Kokoro Handroll Bar and Bake My Day, adding even more variety to the dining experience.

Wellness additions coming in 2027

The final phase, expected in early 2027, will complete the destination with a Fitcode gym and an American Hospital clinic, further strengthening its focus on health and wellness.

With shopping, cafés, restaurants and essential services all under one roof, The Grand Nad Al Sheba is shaping up to be more than just another mall. It is designed to become a convenient meeting place for the surrounding community while offering visitors a new reason to explore one of Dubai’s fastest-growing neighbourhoods.
