The Ghiath smart patrol vehicle has entered a new chapter as Dubai Police officially unveiled its second-generation model. Developed in partnership with Al-Futtaim, the exclusive distributor of BYD in the UAE, the new patrol vehicle is designed to support smarter, faster, and more sustainable policing across Dubai.
The launch reflects Dubai Police’s ongoing focus on adopting advanced technology, artificial intelligence, and environmentally friendly solutions to strengthen public safety. The announcement also coincided with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Dubai Police and Al-Futtaim to further develop the next generation of smart patrol vehicles.
A smarter and more sustainable patrol vehicle
The new Ghiath patrol is built on the DENZA B8 plug-in hybrid, combining advanced security technology with improved performance and lower environmental impact. According to Dubai Police, the vehicle has been developed to support faster response times, improve field operations, and meet the changing needs of modern policing.

Officials said the addition of the second-generation Ghiath patrol strengthens Dubai Police’s growing fleet of smart vehicles while supporting the emirate’s wider vision for innovation, sustainability, and smart mobility.
Lieutenant General Abdulla Khalifa Al Marri, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Police, said the force remains committed to equipping its officers with the latest technologies to improve security services and maintain Dubai’s position among the world’s leading police organisations.
Partnership supports Dubai’s future vision
The project is the result of a strategic partnership between Dubai Police and Al-Futtaim, with support from BYD. Officials said the collaboration highlights the importance of public and private sector partnerships in developing innovative solutions that benefit the community.
Al-Futtaim reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Dubai Police through continued cooperation and the development of advanced mobility solutions that enhance operational capabilities.
The Ghiath project remains one of Dubai Police’s flagship smart vehicle initiatives, integrating artificial intelligence and advanced technology into everyday policing. With the introduction of the latest model, Dubai Police continue to invest in future-ready solutions that improve efficiency, enhance public safety, and support Dubai’s ambition to become one of the world’s smartest and most sustainable cities.
