JLT Link electric bus service is now making it easier to travel around Jumeirah Lakes Towers and Uptown Dubai, offering a convenient new way to connect with Metro stations and popular destinations.
Whether you’re heading to the office, meeting friends for coffee or catching the Metro, getting around the neighbourhood has become a little more convenient. Launched on August 1, the new community transport service uses fully electric buses to connect key locations across JLT and Uptown Dubai while supporting the city’s move towards cleaner, more sustainable mobility.
The service replaces the previous Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) community bus operation and continues to serve passengers without disrupting existing routes.
A convenient way to get around JLT
The new JLT Link network covers 18 stops across the area, making it easier for residents, office workers and visitors to move between popular destinations without relying on a car.
Passengers can use the service to reach restaurants, cafés, hotels, shops, fitness studios, salons and public spaces, as well as DMCC Metro Station and Sobha Realty Metro Station.
The electric buses are also designed to be accessible, helping make local travel more convenient for a wider range of passengers.
Frequent services throughout the week
Within Jumeirah Lakes Towers, two circular routes operate every 20 minutes from early morning until late evening, Monday through Saturday.
On Sundays, buses run from 9.30 am until 12.30 am, giving passengers access to the network throughout the day and into the night.
A separate route links Uptown Dubai with DMCC Metro Station, operating every 30 minutes between 6.55 am and 8 pm. The connection offers a practical alternative to driving and makes it easier for commuters to access Dubai’s wider public transport network.
Supporting more sustainable travel in Dubai
The JLT Link is described as Dubai’s first fully electric community bus service, reflecting the city’s continued focus on expanding sustainable transport options.
By connecting residential, commercial and leisure destinations with nearby Metro stations, the service encourages more people to choose public transport for shorter everyday journeys. It also helps simplify travel within two of Dubai’s busiest mixed-use communities, whether you’re commuting to work, running errands or heading out for dinner.
