Eligible UAE residents can now visit the picturesque Balkan destination without applying for a visa in advance, provided they meet a few travel requirements. The temporary exemption is valid until October 1, 2026, giving travellers another reason to plan a late summer escape.

To qualify, travellers must also arrive on a direct flight from the UAE, carry a valid passport or travel document, and present proof of accommodation, such as a confirmed hotel booking or organised travel arrangement.
Eligible visitors can stay in Montenegro for up to 10 days for tourism purposes without obtaining a visa before departure.

Flydubai currently operates direct flights between Dubai and Tivat, one of Montenegro’s main coastal gateways. The journey takes approximately five hours and 55 minutes, making Montenegro an ideal destination for a long weekend or a short European holiday without the hassle of connecting flights.
It is important to note that the visa-free exemption only applies to travellers arriving directly from the UAE. Those entering Montenegro through another country are not eligible under this temporary arrangement.
