The Dubai Falcon Market is set to become one of the city’s newest cultural landmarks, bringing together falcon trading, specialist services and heritage experiences under one roof.
Approved by His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai, the project is part of a wider package of initiatives announced by Dubai Municipality to enhance the city’s cultural and public spaces.
With an investment of Dh50 million, the new development will cover approximately 50,000 square feet and will be the Middle East’s first dedicated market for falconry. Designed to celebrate one of the UAE’s most treasured traditions, the project will combine modern facilities with spaces that showcase the country’s rich cultural heritage.
What will the Dubai Falcon Market include?
The Dubai Falcon Market has been designed as a complete destination for falcon owners, enthusiasts and visitors interested in learning more about the centuries-old practice of falconry.
The market will feature dedicated retail stores where falcons can be bought and traded, as well as specialist outlets selling falconry equipment and hunting accessories. An integrated veterinary clinic will provide healthcare services specifically tailored to falcons, offering owners convenient access to medical care for their birds.

Beyond retail and veterinary services, the development will also include cultural spaces that celebrate the importance of falconry in Emirati heritage. Visitors can expect exhibition areas, heritage displays and event spaces that highlight the role falcons have played in the region’s history and traditions.
One of the project’s standout features is its architecture, which draws inspiration from a falcon’s wings. The design reflects themes of strength, movement and connection while creating a distinctive new landmark for the city.
Part of Dubai’s latest urban development projects
The Dubai Falcon Market was approved alongside two other major Dubai Municipality initiatives aimed at enhancing the city’s public spaces and visitor experiences.
These include the Dubai Creek Lighting Project, which will introduce an 8-kilometre lighting installation along the historic waterfront to create a new nighttime attraction, with completion expected in early 2027.
Also announced was the AI-Powered Park Design Challenge, a global competition inviting designers and innovators to use artificial intelligence and local urban data to create future-ready public parks.
Together, the three projects reflect Dubai’s approach to combining innovation with cultural preservation. While the Dubai Falcon Market introduces modern facilities for one of the UAE’s most iconic traditions, it also creates a new destination where residents and visitors can experience an important part of the country’s heritage in a contemporary setting.
