Dubai Eid Al Adha parking rules have been announced by authorities, with most public parking spaces across the city set to become free during the holiday period.
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and public parking operator Parkin announced that free parking will apply from Monday, May 25 until Friday, May 29, 2026. The temporary exemption is expected to make travel easier as malls, beaches, parks, and entertainment destinations across Dubai see higher visitor numbers during the holidays
Which parking areas are free during Eid?
The free parking arrangement covers standard public parking zones across Dubai, including most roadside parking spaces and public parking areas managed by the city.

The move is aimed at helping residents and tourists move around more conveniently during the Eid break, particularly in busy commercial and leisure districts where traffic levels are expected to increase throughout the week.
Which parking spaces will still remain paid?
Multi-storey parking facilities are not included in the exemption and will continue to operate under normal paid tariffs during Eid Al Adha.
Drivers using these parking structures will still need to pay regular fees throughout the holiday period. Authorities are also advising motorists to pay attention to parking signs in privately managed areas, where parking rules may vary depending on the location.
Parkin and Parkonic updates
Parkin confirmed that all public parking zones under its management will follow the free parking schedule from May 25 to May 29, with regular parking charges resuming on Saturday, May 30.
Meanwhile, Parkonic has not yet announced a blanket Eid exemption across its locations. In Parkonic-managed areas, parking regulations and charges may differ from one site to another, meaning motorists are encouraged to check on-site instructions or use the Parkonic app before parking.
