UAE weather this weekend is set to bring a slightly cooler spell across the country, offering brief relief from recent peak temperatures as fresh winds move in and dusty conditions affect parts of the region. According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the change will be accompanied by dusty conditions and unsettled seas in some areas.
Temperatures to Ease Slightly Across Regions
A small drop in temperatures is expected across parts of the UAE this weekend, although conditions will remain firmly hot.
Coastal areas are forecast to see daytime highs between 36°C and 41°C, while inland regions may still reach up to 44°C during peak hours. Mountain areas will stay comparatively cooler, with temperatures ranging from 30°C to 35°C.
While the shift is not a major change in conditions, the easing trend is expected to be noticeable, particularly in the afternoons compared to earlier in the week.
Fresh Winds to Bring Dust at Times
Winds are expected to strengthen intermittently over the weekend, shifting between southwesterly and northwesterly directions and reaching speeds of up to 40 km/h, especially over open areas and the sea.
These stronger winds may trigger blowing dust in exposed regions, including parts of the west and inland areas. This could lead to temporarily reduced visibility at times, particularly on open roads and desert stretches.
Sea Conditions to Remain Unsettled
Marine conditions are also expected to be affected by the stronger winds, with the Arabian Gulf forecast to remain moderate to rough at intervals throughout the weekend.
Boaters and those heading to coastal areas are advised to stay mindful of changing conditions, especially during periods of stronger gusts.
Slight Cooling Before Temperatures Stabilise
The milder pattern is expected to continue through Saturday, with a further slight dip in temperatures before conditions begin to stabilise again heading into the new week.
By Sunday, weather is expected to remain generally fair across the UAE, although dusty conditions may persist in some areas due to continued wind activity.
Despite the brief cooling trend, the country remains in its typical May climate pattern, with hot, dry and occasionally dusty conditions dominating the forecast.
