Dubai Esports and Games Festival 2026 continue to expand its presence across the city’s entertainment calendar, bringing gaming, esports and digital culture together in a programme that runs across multiple locations and formats.
Visitors can look forward to 17 days of action-packed programming from May 22 to June 7, featuring competitive tournaments, new game launches, and free gaming activities across Dubai.
The festival will also include citywide entertainment activations and retail promotions on electronics and gaming products, adding a shopping element to the overall experience.
Now in its fifth edition, the festival is organised by Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment under the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism, and has grown into one of the region’s key gaming events since its launch in 2022.
GameExpo takes centre stage at Dubai World Trade Centre
A major highlight of the festival is GameExpo, held from June 5 to June 7 at the Dubai World Trade Centre.

Designed as an immersive gaming space, GameExpo brings together esports competitions, interactive gaming zones, VR experiences, and themed installations. This year introduces new gaming areas alongside expanded hands-on experiences, giving visitors more ways to play, compete and explore.
The format is designed to appeal to all types of visitors, from competitive gamers to families exploring gaming for the first time.
Education and gaming careers in focus
On June 4, the DEF Education and Gaming Summit takes place at the same venue. The event focuses on the connection between gaming, education and future careers, bringing together students, educators and industry professionals.
It is structured as an entry point into the gaming industry, highlighting opportunities in development, design and esports as the sector continues to grow in the region.
Cosplay competition returns with AED 50,000 prize pool
The Dubai Cosplay Championship will be held on June 7 at Dubai World Trade Centre, closing out the festival’s public programme.

Participants compete by transforming into characters from games, films and pop culture, with creativity, craftsmanship and performance all playing a role. This year’s competition features a prize pool of AED 50,000, adding a strong competitive edge to the event.
