Eid Al Adha 2026 is expected soon in May, with the occasion celebrated by Muslims across the world
Unlike other public holidays, Eid Al Adha and Eid Al Fitr holidays are determined differently. The exact start date for both depends on the Islamic Hijri calendar. But the holiday dates can be predicted in advance.
Holidays in Dubai for Eid Al Adha 2026
Eid Al Adha is a major festival for Muslims, celebrating the conclusion of the pilgrimage to Mecca.
A four-day break is expected to start on Dhu Al Hijjah 9 with Arafat Day; it will then continue into Dhu Al Hijjah 10, 11 and 12.
As per certain predictions, the Eid Al Adha public holiday is largely expected to begin on Tuesday, 26th May, with Arafat Day, and will continue till Friday, 29th May.

When combined with the weekend of 30th and 31st May, the Eid Al Adha holiday will be a much-awaited long weekend of six days in 2026.
Eid Al Etihad 2026
Eid Al Etihad constitutes UAE National Day, honouring the anniversary of the formation of the United Arab Emirates each year.
This holiday is determined by the Western Gregorian calendar, with 2nd and 3rd December 2026 established as official public holiday dates.
However, these dates are flexible to change and, as per the UAE public holiday law, they can shift in the calendar.
Official confirmation regarding the finalised dates will be available closer to time.
