Eid Al Fitr 2026: What to Know about Prayer Timings in Dubai

With the holy month of Ramadan nearing its end, residents across the UAE are preparing to celebrate Eid Al Fitr. Many are searching for prayer times in Dubai for 2026 and official guidelines for worship.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD) in Dubai has announced that prayers for the festival will be held in mosques across Dubai at 6:40 am. Residents are advised to head to their nearest mosque as early as possible.

To ensure high levels of public safety, prayers will be held at all mosques in Dubai, which will be permitted to accommodate larger numbers of worshippers for easy access.

Traffic and public flow will be effectively managed by Dubai Police, facilitating secure entry and exit.

Earlier today, the UAE Government media office shared an announcement on X regarding the settings for Eid prayer gatherings.

As per an official statement from the General Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, and Zakat, Eid Al Fitr prayers will remain limited to mosques in the UAE.

Unlike previous years, gatherings are not permitted in open spaces such as prayer grounds, considering the risk of staying outdoors amidst ongoing regional tensions in the emirate.

The Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department in Dubai will monitor the crescent moon of Shawwal on Wednesday evening.

What Should Worshippers Take Note Of?

Those heading out for prayers are encouraged to plan ahead and allow extra time for arrival, as mosques are expected to be busy.

It is best to avoid gathering in large groups outside and to follow guidance on where to enter and pray. Cooperating with authorities on the ground will help ensure everything runs smoothly and safely for everyone.
