If you’re someone who rarely passes up a seaside stroll, Kite Beach is worth making time for this week.
Set against the shoreline is a striking digital installation that feels both simple and quietly powerful. Titled We Love Dubai, it brings together a collection of resident-submitted selfies, woven into a large-scale display celebrating the people who shape the city.
Located a short walk from SALT, the installation takes the form of a glowing heart. Look closer, and it reveals itself as a living mosaic, made up of hundreds of individual faces. Each image fades in and out in a rhythm, echoing a heartbeat and creating a moment that feels surprisingly personal for something so public.
It’s open to everyone and available only for a limited time, with the final day to visit set for Sunday, 12 April.
At its core, the piece is a reflection of Dubai itself, diverse, ever-moving, and deeply community-driven. In a city built by people from all over the world, it’s a simple reminder of what connects them.
