Dubai’s new parks are redefining how the city is experienced. In its latest announcement, Dubai Municipality confirmed that 35 new parks will open across the emirate in 2026, introducing over 340,000 square metres of accessible green space into residential communities.
Backed by an investment of AED 348 million, the expansion reflects a growing emphasis on everyday life rather than large-scale attractions.
A Shift Toward Everyday Proximity
What sets these new parks apart is their placement. Each one is designed within walking distance of surrounding homes, encouraging residents to integrate outdoor space into daily routines.
Open and unfenced, the parks are planned to blend into their neighbourhoods, creating a seamless extension of the community rather than a defined destination.
Designed for How the City Lives
The approach inside these new Dubai parks is flexible. Spaces for play, movement, and rest exist side by side, supported by shaded seating, sports areas, and walking paths that adapt to different rhythms throughout the day.
Sustainability also underpins the project, with recycled irrigation, renewable energy, and expanded tree planting aligning with the long-term goals of the Dubai 2040 Urban Master Plan.
Together, the rollout reflects a broader shift in Dubai’s evolution. The focus is no longer just on where people go, but on how they live in the spaces in between.
