The Bluewaters Art Festival is set to return to Dubai for its second edition in 2026, offering a distinct cultural experience to the emirate.
Held at Dubai Retail’s Bluewaters community, the art festival brings an immersive cultural experience that goes beyond shopping and entertainment, offering something different for both residents and visitors
The Bluewaters Art Festival 2026
Recently announced on the platform’s official website, the theme for 2026 is ‘THE HABITAT’. The idea revolves around spaces inhabited by humans, exploring how art influences and shapes how individuals and societies live, interact, and connect.

Beyond being an artistic presentation, the festival will provide a platform for artists, creators, specialists, and communities from diverse backgrounds and regions.
The ultimate goal is to use a multitude of talents to reimagine the city of Dubai as a habitat, filled with energy, colour, and innovative pursuits.
What Did the Debut Edition Offer?
Last year, the festival theme was ‘Reconnect’. The week-long event provided a platform for 20 murals, interactive installations, outdoor sculptures, live performances, and workshops, amongst other sensory experiences, all forming an open-air gallery.
Hands-on experiences included interesting workshops ranging from tote bag painting for kids to air-dry clay art for adults.
Showcasing the skills of 25 artists from the UAE, Turkey, New York, the United Kingdom, and other regions, the previous edition used art to bridge cultural and generational divides.
Visitors also enjoyed artistic sessions at select dining spots, adding to the creative atmosphere and combining food with art.
What the 2026 Theme Brings to Dubai
The essence of this year’s theme is to invite attendees to witness and understand how art exists in everyday spaces, from streets and buildings to walls in homes and gardens.
It isn’t confined to world-class art galleries, but accessible to everyone.
Those interested are advised to stay in touch with the Bluewaters website and Instagram page, as all details about the upcoming program, its dates, and participating artists will be made public soon.
