McGettigan’s JBR is getting a new beachfront hangout, with a 6,000-square-foot pub planned inside Bla Bla By McGettigan’s at The Beach, JBR. Set to open in the final quarter of 2026, between October and December, the new venue will combine the familiar Irish pub atmosphere with a prime waterfront setting.
With indoor and outdoor seating, views across the Arabian Gulf and Ain Dubai, and a programme built around live sport and music, the new spot is shaping up to be another option for relaxed evenings by the water.
A beachfront setting with a familiar feel
The new pub will be part of the Bla Bla By McGettigan’s complex, giving it a different setting from the brand’s existing JBR location at Hilton Dubai Jumeirah on The Walk.

The new space will look directly towards the Arabian Gulf and Ain Dubai, making the waterfront one of its main attractions. Guests will be able to choose between indoor and outdoor seating depending on the occasion.
The venue is being developed as an extension of McGettigan’s presence in JBR, while giving regulars a new way to enjoy the brand.
Live sport will be a major draw
Sports fans will have plenty to look forward to, with giant LED screens planned for the venue. These will be used to show major live sporting events, making the beachfront pub a place to meet friends for big matches while still enjoying an open-air setting.
The venue will also regularly feature traditional live music acts, adding to its evening entertainment offering.
A new take on Irish pub favourites
Food will have its own identity at the new JBR venue. McGettigan’s is creating a dedicated menu specifically for the location, with a contemporary approach to classic Irish pub dishes.
The menu is expected to retain the familiar pub-food character of the brand while introducing new dishes and updated versions of traditional favourites.
Opening later in 2026
The new McGettigan’s is expected to open between October and December 2026. It will add another waterfront option to The Beach at JBR, where visitors can already find restaurants, entertainment and leisure activities along the shoreline.
For those who enjoy casual drinks, live sport and music with a sea view, the new venue could become a natural addition to JBR’s evening social calendar once it opens.
