Emirati Chefs x VOX is giving movie lovers in Dubai a new reason to arrive early for their cinema experience. Available for a limited time at THEATRE by VOX Cinemas, the collaboration introduces an exclusive menu created by some of the UAE’s most talented Emirati chefs, pairing locally inspired dishes with the luxury of premium movie-going.
Launched by VOX Cinemas in partnership with Dubai Economy and Tourism (DET), the initiative celebrates homegrown culinary talent while allowing residents and visitors to discover authentic Emirati flavours in an unexpected setting. More than just a special menu, the collaboration shines a spotlight on local chefs who are helping shape the country’s evolving food culture.
A menu inspired by Emirati flavours
The limited-time menu features three signature dishes created by acclaimed Emirati chefs, each bringing their own style and expertise to the dining experience.
Guests can begin with a refreshing date & chami cheese salad, followed by slow-cooked beef short ribs, both created by twin chefs Abdulrahman and Maitha Al Hashmi. Recognised as the youngest qualified Emirati chefs in the UAE and the Middle East, the siblings have built a reputation for blending local flavours with contemporary techniques.
To round off the meal, guests can enjoy an Emirati sticky date pudding by celebrated pastry chef Ahmad Al Fardan, whose culinary journey includes training in both Dubai and Switzerland. His dessert offers a refined take on a familiar Emirati favourite, making it a fitting finale to the dining experience.

THEATRE by VOX Cinemas has long been known for combining fine dining with the latest blockbuster releases, and this collaboration adds another layer to the premium experience. Rather than offering a standard cinema menu, guests can enjoy thoughtfully curated dishes that highlight local ingredients and Emirati culinary creativity.
The exclusive menu is available from 29 July for a limited time at THEATRE by VOX Cinemas in Mall of the Emirates, City Centre Mirdif, Nakheel Mall and Wafi Mall in Dubai. It is also available at The Galleria Al Maryah Island and Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi.

Beyond the dining experience, the collaboration supports Dubai’s Economic Agenda D33 by creating greater visibility for Emirati culinary entrepreneurs. By introducing their creations to thousands of cinema guests, the initiative provides a platform for local chefs to showcase their talent while celebrating the UAE’s rich culinary heritage and growing creative economy.
To mark the launch, VOX Cinemas hosted an exclusive Chef’s Table preview at THEATRE in Mall of the Emirates on 28 July, alongside the premiere of Spider-Man: A Brand New Day. The event welcomed members of the media, food creators and industry guests for a first look at the limited-edition menu before it officially became available.
