Dubai Bus Routes Get a Major Update With New Services and Better Metro Connections

Dubai bus routes are getting a significant refresh from July 17, making it easier for residents and visitors to travel between neighbourhoods, business districts and Metro stations. Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is introducing four new bus routes while updating 13 existing services as part of its ongoing efforts to create a more connected and efficient public transport network.

The latest changes are based on passenger travel patterns and are designed to improve access to key residential communities, commercial areas and educational hubs. Whether you’re commuting to work, heading to university or planning a day out, the updated network aims to make journeys smoother with stronger links to the Dubai Metro.

Four new routes will improve connections across the city

The biggest addition to the network is the introduction of four new bus services that will serve growing communities and popular commuter corridors.

Route 35 will connect International City with Dubai Silicon Oasis, operating every 30 minutes during peak hours. Route 85 will link Al Khail Gate in Al Quoz with Dubai Internet City Metro Station, with buses running every 20 minutes during peak periods.

Two additional services, 37A and 37B, will also improve travel between International City and Dubai Silicon Oasis Lake, offering a convenient option for passengers travelling to Academic City and surrounding areas.

Existing routes are being adjusted for quicker, easier journeys

Alongside the new services, RTA is making changes to 13 existing bus routes to improve efficiency and strengthen connections with the Metro and Metro Link network.

Among the key updates, Route 67 will now terminate at Oud Metha Bus Station, offering easier access to the Green Line, while Route 84 will end at InsuranceMarket Bus Stop instead of Mall of the Emirates. Route 88 will also be revised to connect more efficiently with the Metro network.

Several Metro Link services, including F06, F29, F36 and F47, are also being updated to serve more residential communities. Meanwhile, operational changes to routes such as C01 and X22 are expected to reduce travel times during busy periods.

According to the RTA, these updates form part of its regular review of Dubai’s public bus network, ensuring services continue to meet passenger demand while supporting a more seamless and sustainable way to get around the city.
