The Dubai Municipality announced a new initiative to install supercharging stations for electric vehicles (EVs) across 600 parking spaces in public parks, beaches, and recreational facilities. The project is in partnership with Emarat EV Charging Stations Company (UAEV), with an intended investment of AED 150 million, and is aligned with the objectives of the Greenery and Parks Strategy 2040.
The project’s initial phase will see the installation of 75 supercharging stations across 150 parking spaces for electric vehicles in Dubai over the next two years. These stations will be spread across major public parks and beaches, according to a post on social media by the Dubai Media Office.
The goal of the initiative is to support sustainable, eco-friendly lifestyles and choices among Dubai’s population and to improve living standards.
What Does This Mean for Residents?
For residents who own and drive electric vehicles in Dubai, the installation of a large number of charging stations will provide easy access wherever they commute.

EV users will be able to charge their vehicles while going about their daily routine in public spaces, whether jogging in the park or spending time with family.
As a whole, the initiative contributes towards the UAE’s long-term vision of creating a sustainable mobility system and encouraging residents to make more conscientious choices in everyday life.
