Free Parking Announced Across Dubai for Eid Al Fitr Holiday

Dubai residents can look forward to a small but welcome perk this Eid, as the Roads and Transport Authority has confirmed free public parking across the city for the holiday period.

According to the latest announcement, all paid public parking zones will be free from the first day of Eid Al Fitr until the end of the third day.

The only exception is multi-storey parking facilities, where regular charges will still apply.

It is a familiar festive gesture, but one that continues to make a difference. As the city transitions from the quieter rhythm of Ramadan into the celebratory pace of Eid, easier parking often encourages more spontaneous plans.

Whether it is visiting family, heading out for a meal, or simply spending time outdoors, the added convenience helps residents make the most of the break.

The move is also part of a broader set of holiday adjustments designed to keep Dubai running smoothly during one of its busiest times of the year.

Public transport schedules have also been extended to accommodate early morning prayers and late-night outings, reflecting how daily routines shift during the festive period.

For many, though, it is the simple ease of free parking that stands out. In a city where paid parking zones are widespread, even a brief reprieve from fees feels like a welcome bonus.

Regular parking charges are expected to resume after the third day of Eid, so motorists may want to plan. Until then, it is one less thing to think about, leaving more room to focus on celebration, connection, and a well-earned break.
