Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has officially unveiled The Plaza, a flagship open-air events and entertainment venue at Uptown Dubai. Announced on 23 February 2026, the launch marks a significant step in the district’s evolution into a fully integrated business, lifestyle and cultural hub.

Spanning 21,000 square meters, The Plaza has been designed as a flexible public space capable of hosting up to 4,000 guests. Overlooking the JLT skyline, the venue introduces a large-scale outdoor platform built to bring together residents, visitors and the wider community through live events and shared experiences.
Designed for World-Class Events
The Plaza features a sculptural open-air stage, a striking 43-metre HD screen, expansive green lawns and layered terraces, allowing for a wide range of activations. From concerts and festivals to fan zones, fashion shows and cultural performances, the venue is equipped with integrated lighting and sound systems to support major productions.

Developed as a turnkey destination in New Dubai, The Plaza also offers ample parking and convenient access. DMCC has appointed 7 Management as the strategic operator, tasking the regional hospitality and entertainment group with curating a dynamic, year-round calendar of experiences.
Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of DMCC, described the opening as a defining milestone in the Uptown Dubai masterplan, positioning the district as both a premier international events venue and a vibrant community gathering space.
Ramadan at The Plaza: Moonlight Market
During Ramadan, The Plaza will be reimagined as Moonlight Market, a month-long evening experience designed to activate the space after sunset.
Operation hours: Daily from 6 PM to 2 AM until the last day of Ramadan.
Visitors can expect a curated mix of food trucks, retail kiosks, family-friendly activities, live mural painting, light art installations and an open-air cinema under the stars. The concept aims to create a relaxed, social environment where residents and visitors can gather, explore and dine throughout the Holy Month.

A Growing Mixed-Use Destination
The Plaza’s launch comes as Uptown Dubai continues to expand. The district is already home to Uptown Tower, The Atrium, and SO/ Uptown Dubai Hotel & Residences, with additional commercial and residential projects currently under construction.
Once complete, the wider development is set to further strengthen Uptown Dubai’s position as a thriving hub for work, living and leisure, with The Plaza now serving as its central stage for culture, community and large-scale city events.
